“Every new location presents a powerful opportunity—to serve, to love, and to uplift. The Eastern Cape is more than a place on the map; it is a vibrant community full of promise and potential. We are deeply honored to walk with this incredible team as they bring hope, break despair, and build a brighter future for the people of this province.”

— Victor Thomas (Executive Director)

For over 15 years, the dedicated Mzamomhle team has faithfully served the Mzamomhle community and the broader Buffalo City Municipality—fostering care, growth, and community support. Their commitment has laid a strong foundation for what is now a new chapter: the launch of the Living Hope Eastern Cape Hub.

With the recent expansion of the Eastern Cape team, they are already actively engaging with new communities, local leaders, schools, and healthcare providers to identify the most pressing needs. The Eastern Cape province faces significant challenges in healthcare access and community development—but with these challenges come incredible opportunities to bring hope and break despair.

The official opening event, held in March, was a vibrant celebration of unity, purpose and gratefulness to donors, who made this incredible building possible. Community members, local dignitaries, partner organizations and generous donors gathered for a day filled with hope and vision.

As the team extends its geographical reach, their focus will be on expanding:

  • Community Health Services: Mobile clinics, health education, and chronic disease support
  • Youth Empowerment: Life skills, mentorship, and after-school programs
  • HIV/AIDS and TB Support: Testing, counselling, and community awareness
  • Family Strengthening: Parenting, Nutrition and Health Education and support groups from Conception to Early Childhood (the First 100 days of life), support groups for vulnerable children, access for young women to menstrual products.
  • Spiritual Care: Counselling, discipleship, and community outreach

This new hub is more than a building—it’s a beacon of hope for the Eastern Cape. We are excited to see how God uses the building and expanded team to change lives and uplift community’s.

Highlights from opening included:

  • A ribbon-cutting ceremony led by local leaders and Living Hope representatives
  • Youth performances showcasing local talent.
  • A community prayer and blessing over the new hub and its mission.
  • Programme introductions for upcoming initiatives
  • A Hands of Hope Banner for all those committed to support this expanding team and vision.
