Support Group Success

Through the relationships they build with clients, the support group facilitators bring together HIV+ clients and others to uplift each other and to educate themselves both for their health and their Biblical knowledge.  The love they show for each individual allows for new relationships to form in a positive, life-changing way,

On one occasion the support group facilitators went to visit a client, someone who had been to the clinic but wasn’t part of a support group.  They discovered that this client was very weak and was not taking treatment.  The support group facilitators called an ambulance to take her to the hospital for treatment and stayed with her, praying with her and offering hope and encouragement.

When the client returned from the hospital, she sought out the support group facilitators who had helped her to ask about joining a support group.  Having been touched by their compassion, the client wanted to connect with these support group facilitators and join a group where she would feel welcome and loved.  This is one example of how the love and compassion of Jesus Christ displayed through these support group facilitators has brought someone to a place of hope and encouragement, strengthening not only their physical self but their spiritual self as well.
