Cornerstone Productions, under the leadership and direction of internationally acclaimed director, Richard Montez, will host a powerful theatre production called, “The Hiding Place”, for two nights only in Cape Town, Fish Hoek, on 27 and 28 July 2012, as part of highlighting the power of women.

This poignant and powerful piece of theatre explores the true story of Corrie ten Boom and her sister, Betsie, two middle-aged women living in Holland at the start of the Second World War and their heroic efforts to hide the Jews from the violent grip of the Nazi regime.

Betrayed for harbouring Jews, the sisters are sent to a Nazi concentration camp where, despite the horrors they experience, Corrie’s faith endures.

The story is both heart-breaking and hopeful as Corrie’s inspirational character teaches us about the power of forgiveness.

“The Hiding Place” has earned critical acclaim around the globe in the hands of international director, Richard Montez.

Says Richard Montez, “South African women know all about the plight and struggle of living in hope and striving for a better life. It is an honour for me to be in South Africa over this time and to bring this message and show to the people of Cape Town.”

Richard has gained invaluable experience in stage, television and cinema acting around the world, and has earned a reputation for excellence. He worked as a singer, dancer and choreographer for Disneyland. Over the past 25 years he has taken Cornerstone Productions to 67 countries, and is currently on his 20th World Tour.
